May 23, 2020 (SSNN) – South Sudan coronavirus cases have soared to 655 after the National Taskforce on COVID-19 said this evening that 92 more people have tested positive for the deadly virus.

The taskforce said two more deaths were also registered on Saturday bringing the total of those who died as direct results of COVID-19, the disease associated with the novel coronavirus, to eight (8).

The taskforce said the number of people who recovered from the virus remains at six (6).
