April 27, 2020(SSNN) ā€” South Sudan’s former deputy minister of defense and veterans affairs, Lt. Gen. David Yauyau, who was supposed to be airlifted from his hometown of Pibor yesterday, April 26, 2020, was reportedly seen this morning, 27 April 2020, in Bor town, Jonglei State.

According to earlier report from South Sudan’s Jonglei State capital, Lt. Gen. David Yauyau, might have spent the last two days in Bor, a report that has been confirmed by Mading Ngor Akech on social media;

Many skeptic critics, who have seen Lt. Gen. Yauyau mobilizing and arming over 5000 fellow murle youth in Pibor, believe that Yauyau may use Bor town as his launching pad on neighboring Nuer areas of Jonglei and Upper Nile states;

“If he is in Bor, then it is not far from truth that he must have new allies in Bor town. Bor Dinka have their own grudges with the Nuer, it won’t surprised anyone if the Bor youth join his fight” Said Albino Gawang over the social media;

“If this report comes from Mading, it must be true. Mading is fighting his own war from within, he has been in good terms with Yauyau. They even met two weeks ago” Said William Chol;

Despite many past controversial activities from David Yauyau, Mading sympathetically believes that Yauyau wants to leave a “legacy less tethered” behind and therefore he can “be used to change his people”

“Despite Yau Yauā€™s controversial past, you can only admire that this energetic leader is eager to leave behind a legacy less tethered to the bleak past. As we speak, the word I got is that he is returning to Juba. The news of his rebellion are still misplaced.” Mading Ngor wrote on social media.

“There is no relationship but reality that Yau Yau has tried to reign in Murle criminality. We should used him to change his people than pushing him into another rebellion” Mading Ngor continued.

A charter plane was given permission to bring Yauyau back to Juba by April 26, 2020 but it is not clear exactly what happened;
