VP Igga returns to office
June 17, 2020 (SSNN) ā South Sudan’s Vice President James Wani Igga has today, Wednesday, returned to his office following three-week COVID-19 quarantine.
Igga was tested positive for COVID-19; the respiratory sickness caused by the novel coronavirus, in late May and said he was going into quarantine along with a few members of his family and staff members.
“I was told that I had a positive COVID-19 test,” Igga told South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation this morning outside his office in Juba.
Igga further urged the South Sudanese to go for testing to avoid the spread of the virus stressing that testing will help the authorities to fight the virus as needed.
