Sudan’s notorious spy agency chief resigns

April 13th 2019 (SSNN) – The head of Sudan’s National Security and Intelligence Service  (NSIS), Salah Abdella Ahmed Gosh has resigned on Friday, state media reported.

The state-owned Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported that the newly appointed head of military council Abdel Fatah Marohan accepted Gosh’s resignation.

The Sudanese army announced on Thursday the ouster and arrest of President Omar al-Bashir who has been in power since coming in through a military coup in June 1989.

Al-Bashir is wanted by the international criminal court (ICC) for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Sudan’s western region of Darfur.
