SPLM-IO representative collapses at Manchester International Airport, rushed to hospital
January 19th, 2020 (SSNN)—The SPLM-IO representative to the United Kingdom, Sisto Olur Erista, while on his way to Uganda, had collapsed last week at Manchester International Airport in the UK and was rushed to a nearby hospital, an opposition member familiar with the incident reported on Saturday.
“Our brother Cde Sisto Olur, the SPLA-IO representative in UK was scheduled to travel to Uganda yesterday -January 16th where he was supposed to depart from Manchester International Airport, at exactly 6:10 pm, going to Bole International Airport -Ethiopia.
But he reportedly got sick and collapsed at Manchester International Airport in the UK and he was then rushed to a hospital in an ambulance and some doctors were working on him” the source quoted one of the family members as saying.
Olur, was appointed as the SPLM-IO representative to the United Kingdom on January 16, 2017 by the main opposition party.
He’s a distinguished South Sudanese scholar and he previously worked as the SPLM-IO Deputy Representative to the United Kingdom before replacing Ambago, a former representative of the SPLM-IO to the United Kingdom.
He is highly revered by many opposition members for his brave fight on social media, especially on Twitter and Facebook.
