South Sudan state-TV journalist dies in Kampala

June 18^th 2019 (SSNN) – A Renowned South Sudan state-TV journalist has passed away in the Ugandan capital Kampala, family and colleagues said.

Shortly before his death, Kizito Oketo Modest was working for the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporations (SSBC).

Family members and friends contacted by the South Sudan News Now said the award-wining journalist died following short illness.

He was a well-rounded media specialist, lead trainer at Media Development Institute, founder of the Giant Media Group and a media consultant.

He was also the executive director of the Straight Talk Network (STN) and formerly a reporter for the UK-based Sky News Channel.
