April 20, 2019(SSNN) —  A new news report extended to South Sudan News Now by confidential sources within the Sudan’s Transitional Military Council (TMC) has revealed that the first meeting between a high level delegation from South Sudan and the new military leadership did not settle very well as reported earlier on.

The insider said the close aides of the new chairman of TMC, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdel-Fatah Burha, denied the head of South Sudan delegation, Hon. Tut Gatluak Manime, entry and had to “push him by his stomach” as he tried to force his way through.

No clear explanations were given as to why Hon. Tut Kew was initially denied entry but the aides said their new government was not yet set up to begin bilateral talks as the military is still engaged in trying to calm down angry protesters without use of force or violence.

A few minutes later Amb. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth and other government officials were seen mediating the TMC and Hon. Tut Kew Gatluak.

Hon. Tut Kew was raised by former President Omar Hassan el Bashir and he is believed to be housing members of Bashir’s family including Bashir’s wife and brother in South Sudan’s capital, Juba.

Although the delegation was eventually allowed to meet the Chairman of TMC, 1st Lt. Gen. Abdel-Fatah Burha, and few members of his military council, the high level meeting was sent off with “thanks you but we are not yet organized”.

The TMC acknowledged that it is not a formal government yet but they appreciate pledges of brotherly support to mediate the TMC with other oppositions.

South Sudan pledged continuous flow of oil to boost economy of both countries and to support peaceful transition.
