Nov 18, 2018(SSNN) — South Sudan’s 2-0 home victory over Uganda at the Juba Stadium in the AFCON U-23 qualifiers is one result that will send shocking shivers across the African continent.

The Ugandans had carried a slim 1-0 win from the first leg played a week ago in Kampala.

Two second half goals from Peter Michael Taku and Ugandan based towering striker Makueth Wol Keen Nguet not only sunk Uganda, but also ejected the CECAFA giants out of the on-going qualifiers for the final tourney in Egypt next year.

Wasswa Bbosa and Charles Ayiekho Lukula’s coached charges fired blanks throughout the game played in Juba town as the hosts overturned the first leg result to qualify 2-1 on aggregate .

South Sudan will now face Tunisia at the next stage of the qualifiers.
