June 19, 2020 (SSNN) – South Sudan’s minister of water resources and irrigation, Manawa Peter Gatkuoth, has this afternoon met the German ambassador to Juba, Manuel Muller, and the two discussed development in the field of water resources in the country, the ministry said in a statement.

“The Minister Of Water Resources And Irrigation Hon. Manawa Peter Gatkuoth Met Today In His Office With The German Ambassador To South Sudan Manuel Muller,” the ministry said on its Facebook page this afternoon.

“They discussed how the two countries can work together especially in the field of water resources,” the statement added.

According to the brief social media statement seen by South Sudan News Now, the two discuss ways to strengthen cooperation so that they can work together and develop the country’s water sector.

Less than 25% of South Sudan’s 12 million population accesses to clean water and most of them are in the capital Juba.
