S. Sudan COVID-19 cases rise to 90 as 16 more people test positive

May 7, 2020 (SSNN) — South Sudan Coronavirus cases has rose to 90 after the ministry of health said sixteen (16) people have tested positive for the virus.

This is the third day a high rise is recorded in South Sudan fter 28 people, last week, and 16 yesterday, tested positive for the virus.

In a statement, Machar’s office said restrictions imposed as part of measures to fight the disease were being eased and that effect will take place within the next three days.

“The number of Covid-19 confirmed cases in South Sudan has reached 90 today, Thursday, May 7, 2020, as 16 more cases were confirmed,” Machar’s office said in a statement.

It added that “some of the measures or restrictions previously imposed due to the Covid-19 disease are to be relaxed and become effective in 72 hours (3 days).”
