Last week, former minister of health Ngunjock Chuol Dojiok was criticised on social media after renaming major health facilities after the country’s current and former leaders.

“This is to inform the people of Maiwut state and public at large that , the ministerial order posted and circulated on social media , news papers by the former minister of health of Maiwut is null and void , as it was lacking the official proceedings in which if needed and the former minister had an idea, he would have tabled the document as a memo to the state Council of ministers, then to the state legislative assembly for the final endorsement as per our system required,” said Minister of Information Baruach Uluch.

The Minister of Information urged members of the public to remain calm as the matter is being investigated by the state authorities.

“Therefore I am assuring our public that let them not be panic. Even if we were to rename our state health facilities, we would have carried out various consultations with different figures from within our state and national government and those whose names were selected, could have been those who donated different projects to the state also the important figures who made the history. Finally, we are the state government will form a ministerial committee to Investigate on the matter.”
