Dec 15th, 2019 (SSNN)-Netizens have criticized South Sudan’s government for posting pictures of persons with disabilities and children on Facebook to justify and make people believe that the establishment of the 32 states was not a political move by the government, but rather a popular demand of all citizens.

Since last week, social media users have shared pictures of two little girls and a disabled person pictured while holding banners that read ‘32 states’.

“Do these kids even understand what is in the paper or what it mean for their future? Junubiin, let’s do our nonsense but let’s not spoil the minds of these innocent children,” said a netizen identified as Kuay Tutkuay.

Another Internet user blamed South Sudanese leaders for abuse of power.

“That is the reason why God punishes our people because their leaders abuse their powers. Does this crippled man knows the consequences of 32 states?”

“A law that can grant him the right to free wheel Chair and a smooth pedestrian road is what this brother of mine should riot for.
But he is on the street on his belly demanding for 32 States. We have become slaves of our choices. We crown the clowns and when they sit on the throwns, they magicly become smarter than us and we become their clowns.
Emancipation is urgently needed ya Junubin,” another social media users said.

“This picture alone portrays a criminal betrayal to this cripple holding the written fake notice in his mouth. Shame on those using innocent citizens in expense of their political gains,” said a Facebook user identified as Willy N. Mar.

In January, 2017, South Sudan President Kiir Mayardit issued a presidential decree that increased the number of states from the previous 28 to 32, a move criticized by opposition groups and widely seen as a serious blow to the implementation of the peace agreement.
