March 16th 2020 (SSNN) – A foreigner in South Sudan’s capital Juba, who has been rushed to Juba Teaching Hospital on suspicion of coronavirus, has tested negative, sources with direct knowledge said.

On Saturday, the unnamed foreigner who had coronavirus-like symptoms was rushed to Juba hospital and a health ministry official quoted by Nyamilepedia said this morning that he was tested on Sunday and the results came negative this morning.

“The foreigner who came from Australia almost two weeks ago and was suspected to have the coronavirus has tested negative for the virus on today,” the health ministry official said.

The virus that originated from China has so far been detected in over 100 countries.

This has prompted other countries to enhance fever checks at the airports to prevent the virus.
