Foreign Minister, Awut lays foundation stone for construction of S. Sudan’s Embassy in Nairobi
Nov 25th, 2019 (SSNN)-South Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Awut Deng Acuil has laid the foundation stone for the construction of South Sudan’s diplomatic office in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
“Today was a historical day for the Government of the Republic of South Sudan in Kenya. We were honoured to have the presence of Honourable Awut Deng Acuil, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at a ground breaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction of the new Chancery,” the South Sudanese Embassy in Kenya said on Monday.
In a brief statement, the South Sudan Embassy in Kenya stated that the construction of its office in the capital, Nairobi reaffirms the commitment and strong diplomatic relations between South Sudan and neighboring Kenya.
“The ownership and construction of our own Chancery cements the presence of the Government of South Sudan in the Republic of Kenya and also represents the confidence that we have that the existing cordial Diplomatic relations between the 2 sisterly States will continue to grow and shall be strengthened at every juncture possible. It is a major achievement by all involved.”
