Breaking: Arsenal sack manager Unai Emery – 4 replacements emerge
Nov 29th, 2019 (SSNN)-Arsenal have sacked head coach Unai Emery after the club’s worst run of results in last 27 years.
The dismissal of the manager was announced today by the board as the club was preparing to travel to Norwich for afternoon Premier League match.
Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenge last year and has led the team for only 18 months.
Speaking on behalf of the Arsenal board, Josh Kroenke expressed his profound gratitude to former team manager Emery for his commitment to ensuring that the team gets back on track after years of insignificant performance.
“Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand. We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success,” he said.
A club statement declared: “We announce today that the decision has been taken to part company with our head coach Unai Emery and his coaching team.”
As the team nominates four replacements, the are emerging reports that Freddie Ljungberg would now take caretaker role, starting with Sunday’s game against Norwich.
Last year, Emery firmly stated that his main objective is to break the record and ensure that Arsenal remains as one of the best and strong teams ever in Europe.
