Aspiring South Sudanese-Canadian teenager gunned down in the capital, Ottawa, three others sustained Critical injuries!

January 9, 2020(SSNN) — An eighteen year old aspiring rapper and Bell Warriors footballer was gunned down in a rare shooting on Gilmour Street, Ottawa, Canada on Wednesday morning, Canadian news agencies and Capital Hill Parliament police confirmed.
According to neighbors the shooting occurred at 7:30am on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 in an apartment rented out through Airbnb on Gilmour Street in Ottawa’s Centretown neighbourhood amidst reports of multiple gunshots.
Speaking to media the Acting Inspector, Francois D’Aoust, said the incident must have been targeted but there was no active shooting at the time and no suspect was identified.

The victim of the gun shooting was later identified as a 18-year-old aspiring rapper, Manyok Akol. Three other tenageers at the age of 15, 19 and 20 year old suffered serious injuries and were rushed to hospital.
Akol released a hit rap song called “Rainy Days” a few months ago where he depicted a teenager gunned down on Ritchie Street, two others suffered injuries and himself sustaining a few gunshots on a Wednesday midnight on the West End of Ottawa, Canada.
In two other videos, which he launched within the last four months, Akol talked about death, how he was being targeted but he hoped to survive.

The teen rapper was known by most of his peers not only as a talented musician but also as an aspiring footballer.
According to his coach, Manyok was a competitive and dominant player in American football.
“He was a very strong kid back then, very competitive and quiet dominant. So he was a kid who always stuck out in the field and one thing we remember about him he always had a big smile” Said his former football coach Paul Stewart.
Manyok played for Bell Warrior football program from as early as 2013 and Paul Stewart coached him for most of those years.
“It shocked us all up. We spent six to nine years training these kids” Paul added.
Responding to the news, Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, sent his condolence message to the families who are affected and said he has spoken with Ottawa Mayor, Jim Watson, about the shooting and the investigation.
“My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I hope all those injured have a speedy recovery,” Trudeau said in a message on Twitter Wednesday, where he also thanked the police and paramedics for their quick response” Prime Minister Trudeau said.
