Jan 28, 2020 (SSNN—The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has said that plans are underway to arrange the transportation of different types of items for starving forces, reported to have gone for months without food, non-food items and medical supplies in cantonment areas.

Last week, it was reported that two soldiers lost their lives at Owinykibul training centers due to lack of medicines.

South Sudan government and opposition groups signed a peace agreement in 2018, largely ending years of violence in the country.

According to the agreement, the government and the opposition were supposed to train and deploy a unified national army before forming a unity government.
