South Sudan COVID-19 cases surpass 1000

May 27, 2020 (SSNN) — South Sudan’s ministry of health said on Wednesday that COVID-19 cases have surpassed the 1000 mark after almost 200 people tested positive for the virus.

The ministry of health said 188 people were confirmed to have caught the virus. This brings the total number of those with the deadly virus to 1004.

The ministry of health said all the latest positive tests are from South Sudanese.

It said death toll has risen to ten (10) and that recoveries risen to (8).
