President Kiir’s office launches an official website

Oct 3, 2020(SSNN) — The office of President Salva Kiir has launched a new website to improve accessibility of presidency affairs, according to officials from the presidency.

“The Office of the President has launched an official website for the Presidency on Friday the 2nd of October 2020, to make information regarding the activities of President Salva Kiir Mayardit easily accessible to South Sudanese and the world.” Ateny Wek Ateny announced on Friday, October 03, 2020.

The launching of the website was inaugurated by the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Nhial Deng Nhial, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Baba Medan, the Director General of the National Communication Authority, Napoleon Adok Gai, Chief Administrator in the Office of the President, Paul Polo Ongee, Executive Director in the Office of the President James Deng Wal and the Press Secretary in the Office of the President Ateny Wek Ateny.

Speaking to the gathering at the occasion, the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Nhial Deng Nhial said this is the first step towards providing accurate information of what is transpiring in the Presidency regarding the country.

Nhial Deng Nhial also added that he has no doubt that the website will contribute significantly towards providing accurate information to the citizens, Nhial Deng applauded the Press Department in the Office of the President for their tremendous improvement regarding the media coverage for the Presidency.

The Deputy Minister of Information Telecommunications and postal services, Baba Medan said the new Presidency website is created to give all accurate information about the Presidency, saying with the launching of this website rumors have come to an end, no room any more for the rumors and innacurate news.

The Chief Administrator in the Office of the President Paul Polo Ongee applauded the Press Department in the Office of the President for their time and energy to make this site what it is today.

The Executive Director in the Office of the President, James Deng Wal expressed that the Presidency website will endeavor to provide South Sudanese citizens with the most accurate, up-to-date information on what is going on in the Presidency.

The Press Secretary in the Office of the President Ateny Wek Ateny said that his department will also soon establish the monthly magazine and newspaper outlet that will be distributed to the local readers and transmitted online for South Sudanese Diaspora readers.
