April 17th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Sudan’s longest serving president, Omar Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir, who was ousted last week by the country’s military has been moved to Khartoum’s notorious Kober prison, the Reuters reported quoting two family sources.

The Reuters quoted an unnamed source at Kober prison as saying al-Bashir is being held under tight security in solitary confinement.

Al-Bashir who took power from a civilian government in June 1989 during a bloodless coup was removed from power by the country’s military following months of violent protests calling for end to his rule.

He has since been kept under heavy guard in the presidential residence inside the compound that also houses the Defense Ministry according to the army.
