OPINION: Who is Bangoang Tuong?

April 16, 2020(SSNN) — I would like to point out some criminal activities committed in the office of the chairman of SPLM – IO by a criminal called Simon Bangoang Tuong, he has used the silence of the members of SPLM IO to loot the resources of the movement for years and no one want to attack him. Why? this man is a disgrace to the movement as he has caused more harms than good to Leer community, SPLM – IO and the general public that support the people’ movement.

I’m told he went to the extent of blocking military generals who tried to visit the chairman Dr. Riak Machar. In one incident in 2018 and 2019, he blocked Andrea Kuong Ruach who came from UK to visit his chairman in Khartoum to discuss political issues – Kuong is an advisor for political affairs.

He has also blocked another general, Peter Magok Bol, who by then came from Nasir field operations to brief the chairman in Khartoum about military activities in the Frontline.

Corruption

He has deliberately stolen financial support that was given to the SPLM IO Leadership by friends for his personal benefits. People who were there testified these informations.

Am aware he is building a boat for his personal business using SPLM IO money at the Port in Gabat area of Juba Na-Bari which the SPLM IO Leadership should confiscates with immediate effect.

I have never seek or have no intention to seek any financial support from SPLM IO and I have never seen him but his bad name has led to number of powerful Leaders and supporters of SPLM IO to hold grudges against the chairman and Dok community and has led to others giving up their voluntary support to this moment. Shame on you Bangoang Tuong!

Dok Community Image

Many people, especially members of Dok community, are seen as bad people by other clans of Nuer community because of this stupid/ useless man. He must not be spare and if we continue to be silent of his criminal actions, this means allowing him to dismantle SPLM IO and Dok community. Am also told he is on the watch list of the SPLM IO field commander’s to answer his criminal behaviors or face the worse which to me is a good step for the generals. Keep monitoring him!

Academic Background

Am also told he has never gone to school but he used the 2016 devastation of IO leadership to intrude on to the office of the Chairman. We are tired of him and he should be kept away from stealing the properties of the movement and destroying the good image of Dok community.

I request those who knows him to forward to me details of his crimes, I will write more detailed articles.
