Is Africa ās Horrible Civil Wars Caused by the Authoritarian Leadership Style?

Dec 27th, 2018(Perth) ā Most of the horrible civil wars which broke out in the Africansā continent were caused by the authoritarian leadership style. Too many presidents in Africa have been using the directive leadership style in order to maintain their presidencies in the continent. They had completely distanced themselves from the democratic system and switched into the autocratic system. The Africansā presidents prefer to practise this approach because it prolongs their dictatorial leadership and that it delays their trial at the International Court of Justice (ICCJ).
The authoritarian leadership style was initially described by Lewin, Lippitt & White (1939) together with the democratic and laissez-faire leadership style. The authoritarian leadership is an extreme form of transactional leadership style which was coined by Weber (1947) and later expanded by Bass (1981). An autocratic leader is a leader who makes all the decisions without the involvement of the subordinates. These bosses are high in task completion and low in relationship building. The employees are always intimidated by their leader to get the job done timely and to follow the order. According to the advanced leadership theorists that this style is effective for emergency situations and not to be used for team development purposes.
The key political leaders in Africa should abandon the authoritarian leadership style and switch into the transformational leadership style in order to attain permanent peace and stability in the whole continent. The transformational leadership style was first introduced into the World by Downton (1973) and was popularised by Burns (1978). The transformational leadership is the opposite of the transactional leadership style Yukl (1999); Bass (1998); Bass & Avolio (1994) and Bass (1985). Ā A transformational leader is a leader who introduces crucial and positive change into the team or organisation. These leaders are very high in relationship expansion also high in task accomplishment. They encourage, inspire, motivate, involve and guide their team members just to mention a few.
The long-lasting civil-wars which erupted in Africa resulted in massive internal and external displacement, loss of innocent lives, severe gun-shot wounds, poverty and spread of the diseases. Due to these reasons, the European Union (EU), North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) should remove all the Africansā presidents who want to stay in power unlawfully to discourage the creation of unacceptable activities in the region. These lawless dictators should be seized by the (UNSC) and transport them by air to the (ICCJ) for immediate trial for war crimes and the crimes against humanity.
In summary, 99% of the terrible civil wars in Africa were started by the authoritarian leadership style. The Africansā presidents had completely rejected to implement the democratic strategies and have been advocating for the advancement of the autocratic system in Africa, Asia, Southern America and other parts of the earth. The political leaders who had decided to remain and die in power should be forced to renounce their reckless autocratic leaderships through the barrel the gun by the (EU), (NATO) and the (UNSC).
