Kiir presides over the launch of power station in Juba- Presidency

Nov 21st, 2019 (SSNN)-South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit presided over the opening ceremony of a power plant, which was officially launched on Thursday in the South Sudanese capital Juba, the presidency said in a statement.

“The President of the Republic, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit on Thursday, inaugurated the long-awaited power plant distribution in the national Capital, Juba.”

According to the Presidency, the power distribution station which is located at Kondokoro village of Mangala County is operated by Ezra Construction and Development Group Ltd, was funded by the African Development Bank.

The statement noted that the Powhouse costs $ 30 million.

“The power distribution plant cost thirty-eight million USD which is in grant to the government and people of South Sudan.”
