Gunman claiming to be Kiir’s son kills three in Juba
June 3, 2020 (SSNN) – A gunman who claims to be President Salva Kiir’s son has killed three people over dispute on a piece of land at Shirikat, a Juba subburb on the other part of the Nile, residents said this morning.
The incident happened exactly near Bor bus park which is located in Shirikat.
One resident said the culprit is a 38-year-old Lual Marine, a man who is known to those in the capital’s neighborhood as “son” of President Salva Kiir.
“This morning, a man called Lual came and opened fire at a family who refused to vacate a land for him. He killed three of the family and has since been no where,” the source said.
Another resident said the man had already grabbed some land from the owners saying he even went on to take cemetry before and law agencies have turned deaf hears to many complaints raised against him in the past.
“This man has taken many people’s land. We have informed the police many times and because he perceived to be Kiir’s son, the authorities have not responded to us,” the resident added.
The man reportedly arrived at the scene with a heavily armed group of men in a pick-up vehicle according to the resident.
