Fugitive South Sudan Bishop on the Run!

April 1, 2023(SSNN) — A prominent South Sudanese Bishop of the Anglican Church of South Sudan(ACSS), Rt. Bishop Thomas Tut Gany of the Ayod Dioceses, has fled an arrest warrant from the South Sudanese authorities.

According to South Sudan Police Services, Bishop Thomas Tut Gany, Founder and Executive Director of Christian Mission for Development(CMD), was charged on March 31st, 2023 under the Code of Criminal Procedure Act, Penal Code 2008, for fueling intercommunal conflict in his home village of Paguong in February 2023 that resulted into the killing of at least 3 people and rumbling about it on social media.

“According to our investigation and reports from the grounds, the accused has meddled in the recent conflict in Paguong that led to killing of 3 people.” said Capt. Marnas Kamal of SSPS.

“More reports implicated the accused [Tut Gany] in past inter-communal feuds between sub-clans, so a warrant has been issued for his arrest” Capt. Kamal continued.

The fugitive Bishop of the ECSS, Thomas Tut Gany, is believed to have escaped to East Africa and possibly Nairobi, Kenya, where he owns a luxurious mansion bought of corrupt humanitarian aids to his national NGO, the Christian Mission for Development (CMD).

Bishop Tut fled the South Sudanese capital since his warrant became public and has since never returned to South Sudan.

Reports from his home county of Ayod alleged that the ECSS Bishop has outstanding warrants in the county as well and he could be arrested if he sneaks to his village where his immediate clan of Chieng-Cham fought among themselves for reasons best known to the man of God.

Reporting the news of the intercommunal feuds, self-proclaimed Judge Bishop Tut condemned the deceased instead of praying for his soul saying he deserves his fates:

Accordingly, South Sudanese authorities call on the neighboring countries to apprehend the fugitive bishop and depot him back to South Sudan once arrested.
