Kiir’s relative who killed 4 people today dies

June 3, 2020 (SSNN) – The nephew of South Sudan president who opened fire on innocent civilians this morning in Sherikat, a neighborhood in the capital Juba, killing four innocent civilians has died, two sources with direct knowledge told South Sudan News Now (SSNN).

Lt. Col. Lual Akook Wol – who is better known to the people in the capital’s neighborhood as Lual Marine – this morning opened fire on one family who refused to vacate a piece of land he claims to belong to him killing four of them.

The senseless killing upsetted the general public who took to the street to demand justice for the family.

Speaking to South Sudan News Now (SSNN) this evening, one source at the ministry of interior confirmed the death of army officer saying the later died of injuries which he incured while being beaten by the angry public after killing the four civilians.

“This is to inform you that Col. Lual Akook Wol Kiir has died this evening at the Egyptian clinic because of the injuries on his head. He died at exactly at 5:00PM Juba local time,” the interior ministry source said.

Another member of the family separately confirmed to South Sudan News Now the development saying Lual “died at the Egyptian clinic. He has been killed in cold blood.”
