April 5, 2020(SSNN) — Latest reports from London confirmed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been rushed to London hospital this Sunday evening over “persistent symptoms” of COVID-19 that include fever.

According to his family, this is a “precautionary step” that was advised by his doctor.

“On the advice of his doctor, the prime minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests.” Downing Street spokeswoman said in a Statement

The UK Prime Minister is expected to spend the night at the hospital to go through what BBC Political Editor Laura Kuenssberg reports as “routine tests”.

Mr. Johnson was tested positive for the virus 10 days ago; however, he remained in isolation, working from home, as his health was more stable.

“This is a precautionary step, as the prime minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus 10 days after testing positive for the virus.” Laura said.

The Prime Minister remains in charge of the U.K government; however, certain responsibilities including the Coronavirus meetings will be shared by his foreign secretary from tomorrow.

Mr. Johnson thanks the NHS staff for their hard work and calls on the U.K. citizens to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.

“The prime minister thanks NHS staff for all of their incredible hard work and urges the public to continue to follow the government’s advice to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.” Laura said.

Mr. Johnson tested positive for the virus on 27 March; however, he was last seen sharing NHS and Coronavirus meeting from his home in Downing Street on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

The Prime Minister confirmed in a video he twitted on Friday that he was showing “minor symptoms”.

“I still have a temperature. So in accordance with government advice I must continue my self isolation until that symptom itself goes,” he said.

“But we’re working clearly the whole time on our programme to beat the virus.”

Mr. Johnson’s 32 year old fiancee, Carrie Symonds, also tweeted yesterday, Saturday, that she has had major symptoms for a week.

Unlike the Prime Minister, Carrie said she has not been tested for the virus.

Carrie has been in relationship with the Prime Minister since 2018 and she is currently pregnant.
