Transitional Military Council (TMC) Chairman Lt (Gen) Abdel Fatah AL Burhan Abdel Rahman met Tuesday at his office in the Republican Palace with the Head of Umma Party Mubarak AL Fadil.
Following the meeting AL Fadil told reporters that the meeting focused on political situation development and the importance of speeding up the signatory of the agreement reached between TMC and Forces of Freedom and Change.
He said the signatory would prepare for the formation of the government and helped surpassing the political vacuum which affected negatively the economic and political stability. It would also pave the way he said for going ahead towards democratic transformation.
AL Fadil added that the meeting also focused on the constitution situation that should govern the transitional period. He stated that his party believed on the establishment of the transitional period on the constitution of 2005 after making the required amendments.
He noted that 2005 constitution was suitable for the partnership that has to be created between TMC and the political forces through the” Legislature Council’’ expected to be formed.
